About

My name is Paweł Mirosławski. As a software engineer I have been building web applications for over 20 years, and most of the backends I built were written in PHP. Despite all those years, I am no longer sure I can still call myself a programmer. "Product engineer" is probably a better term.

More than programming itself, I care about understanding the problem. With everything that is changing right now, that is becoming an ever bigger challenge, and at the same time the key to choosing the right solution and taking responsibility for the result with full conviction.

Besides writing code, I work on application architecture and maintenance. I work with Linux, read a lot, dig into things and deploy the systems I build myself. I live in the south of Poland.

On this site I collect reflections and observations from the changing world of IT, about decisions, projects, people and tools. I also want to gather concrete studies and analyses here and draw constructive conclusions from them. Nothing frustrates me more than contradictory studies quoted on LinkedIn that get lost in the flood of new posts after a while.

This site exists mainly to help me put my own thoughts in order, but if some of it is useful to you as well, all the better.

Professionally I work as BIT 9, helping companies build and maintain web applications. If you would like to talk about the topics I write about, get in touch.
